Interview Skills Training

This course will help you develop the skills necessary to conduct effective interviews that gather all required information in a timely and respectful manner.

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

    • Identify and use open and closed questions to gather information and explore questionable information
    • Know how to respectfully ask sensitive questions
    • Manage and defuse agitated or angry clients
    • Identify different techniques to use based on the type of interview being conducted; i.e. telephonic or face to face
    • Explain reporting requirements and next steps to the customer 

 

The course will include listening to recorded interviews using Black Board and completion of specific types of interviews by the learner.
