This training segment is an overview of human anatomy and the different types of injury that may be present as a result of a sexual assault. It is important that all Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) members understand the terminology used and processes followed during a medical-forensic exam.  This understanding ensures that all are using and understanding the same language, as well as helping the victim to understand what will take place during the exam and why they are being examined in this way.
